Mary-Ann Stuart

Mary-Ann Stuart (she/her) is a Margate based multi-media artist. Having studied Fine Art at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury, Stuart focuses on the cultural representation of woman and the female nude within her artwork. Mary-Ann derives inspiration from her fellow artists such as Rachel Maclean, Dominic Beattie and Lindsay Mapes, as well as recreating aspects of the 14th-16th century female nudes through a 21st-century feminist gaze.
