"The Introverts Kite Flying Club represents a search for balance between needing to connect with others, specifically through shared interests, and needing enough alone time throughout the day to recharge and avoid burnout.

There's a fine line between alone time and isolating myself to the point where my mental health suffers, so figuring out where that line is has been an important, and lifelong journey.

Gaining self-awareness about my own neurotype and how it affects me, as well as being honest with myself about what my special interests are, has helped me unmask and build deeper connections with friends, family, and even strangers. This understanding means I can spend more time alone yet feel less lonely, which is why making this illustration filled me with so much joy and peace."
