NOTE FROM THE ARTIST
“This series follows a man on a spiritual pilgrimage through the wilderness, he takes seeing the Hare, as an omen and in the third image he surrenders to the landscape in a dream and wakes up as part of the standing stone circle but not completely frozen. He continues with his journey to reach his destination and realises his connection to the earth is invaluable. He relinquished his physical body to become part of the earth.
In this piece, the main character of the story is an old man on a religious pilgrimage, set in Celtic Britain. The character doesn't have a name as it's meant to represent the Everyman of the time and be relatable to us now through his interactions of the nature surrounding him and how he interprets and considers his place in the world. Throughout the images he encounters people and the landscape guided by his spiritual connection to it. He is drawn to another traveller on the road as they are following the Ley lines which connect energy portals and places of power such as Stonehenge.”
